Spatial Assessment Battery

Although there are many widely used standardized instruments for assessing children's language and mathematical skills, there are few methods for assessing young children's spatial skills. However, many tasks have been developed for research settings that could be adapted for large-scale use (e.g., in schools), and that would provide sensitive and differentiated knowledge about skill profiles that would link tightly with theory and research-based knowledge. We will develop a spatial assessment battery--a standardized instrument for assessing spatial cognition.
